Forever Young Introduction Program

WHAT TO EXPECT

Participants will spend 12 weeks learning the fundamental skills, including learning to skate and basic gameplay of the greatest game on Earth. During the first few classes, the focus will be on the development of ice-skating related skills of all participants. In the weeks that follow, instruction will shift to teaching the participants individual playing skills (stick handling, shooting, passing), before shifting learning into team and game play skills (offense, defense, positioning, and game strategy). The final session of the program will have the participants completing their training by playing in their first organized hockey game between all the participants. The game will include referees and the national anthem at the beginning of the game.
